Introduction
Department of Oral Pathology is established in University of Health Sciences under the Division of Pathology with a vision to upgrade the science of oral pathology by producing qualified and well-equipped graduates who are excellent oral pathologists, good researchers, and thorough professionals. The department is currently running two programs; M. Phil and Ph. D (Oral Pathology), that are approved by Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. Department of Oral Pathology was given the status of independent department in 2015.

To be the national center for research & diagnostics in the field of oral & maxillofacial pathology
Mission
To explore the cellular and molecular basis of diseases to guide diagnosis and treatment by conducting Basic, Applied & Translational research in the field of Oral Histopathology, Oral Microbiology, Virology & immunology, and Oral Medicine.
